Stayed at Matt and Sarah's new place in Brighton last night. Had a nice brekky down the road with great coffee (dammit, it really is better down here). Spent half the day today helping assemble IKEA furniture and the other half analysing surf forecasts to decide where to go next.
Less that a week on our schedule so the big decision is whether to head down to Phillip Island for a few days for average waves with ok wind (and an area that Jack knows) OR head up to the NSW south coast to try and catch a bigger swell but with sketchy wind that might leave it unsurfable?
We decided to take a punt and head up to NSW. In keeping with the surf adventure theme, we'd at least discover some new spots for the future, even if they weren't working this week. Bit weird to decide we're leaving Victoria (especially for Jack) but exciting to get closer to home and explore some new countryside on the way.
