Day 113 - Cape Riche to Esperance

Had a few visitors for breakfast in the form of about 20 kangaroos who'd come up close enough to sniff your hand! We found out that the caretaker feeds them every morning so no wonder they were so tame. Not sure it's actually cool to feed them like that (we didn't) but whatever.

Fairly ordinary weather but still amazing, remote scenery. We took the scenic route (couldn't think of a better word) through Fitzgerald River National Park. Very different plant life, hardy shrubs covered in little flowers, rolling as far as the eye could see. Once we hit the coast it was even more amazing, huge hills and cliffs rising up out of the sea (and of course, perfect white beaches).

We rolled into Hopetoun thinking we'd find somewhere to stay but didn't like the vibe of the town so headed on to Esperance. Jack took out a crow with the bullbar, our first official roadkill (we've had a couple of maybes). Just as we arrived it started pouring down so we opted for an on-site van for the night rather than setting up tents and getting soaked. Proper trailer trash!
