Day 095 – Port Denison to Perth

Up at 5am for a 30 minute drive north to check Flatrock (the best local spot) before the wind got up. Sadly it wasn’t really working and the swell had dropped further so turned Nessie around and headed back to camp.

Headed south via the Pinnacle which is a pretty weird group of limestone pillars in a patch of desert amongst the coastal scrub. Kinda cool and a bit trippy walking around there but didn’t need to spend too long.

Got down to Perth ok with a really nice drive through the fertile Swan Valley as we came in. Very weird to be driving into a city with traffic lights and everything! Jack and Dani stayed in a B&B for a romantic last couple of nights and I booked into a hostel just down the road. We all went out for dinner together just down the road in Northbridge, the happening area in Perth. Pretty quiet but it was a Tuesday night and it turned out later than we’d missed a whole lot of the bars and restaurants further down the road.
