Wine tasting today in the Adelaide Hills. Thankfully the airconditioning now works because it's bloody hot again! The average temperature this time of year is meant to be something like 24 but it's been nudging 40 every day and setting some sort of heatwave record for Adelaide.
We checked out Penfolds (one of their many vineyards) which is right on the edge of town. Great wines obviously and a really helpful guy behind the bar. We learnt quite a lot! Headed up to the hills to visit The Lane (great winery, lots of very good wines), Nepenthe (not that impressed) and Ashton Hills (excellent pinots from a very small operation, highly recommeded).
