Went for an early fish off the pier but it wasn't our day. Got a few bites but the wind was horrendous. Jack managed to land the biggest puffer fish either of us had ever seen but in the excitement we forgot to take a photo before we threw it back. Was cool watching it drop 10m through the air before hitting the water. It went into fully swimming mode as it dropped!
AFL grand final today! And Dani arriving from Sydney to join us for a couple of weeks down the coast. Only problem was that the game and the flight happened at the same time but somehow Jack managed to convince Dani to get a taxi to the pub while we watched the game and got pissed. Awesome atmosphere in the pub, they love their AFL over here. I'm not the hugest fan but love a good game of anything and it turned out to be one of the closest grand finals ever. Go the cats!
Ended up quite happily drunk by the end so got Dani to drive us down to the beach for a sunset bodysurf. Didn't realise I was pissed really until I borrowed a girl's surfboard and tried to surf! Anyway, had a really nice float around while the sun went down then headed back to camp while Jack and Dani had a romantic night in a hotel down the road.
