Day 069 - El Questro (Gibb River Road)

Decided to have a second night at El Questro and make the most of the very expensive wilderdness park passes! Took it easy reading in the shade until lunch and then headed up a couple of the 4wd tracks to check out some gorges and a waterhole. Awesome 4wd-ing up and down some very steep, rocky tracks (in Low 4), our most advanced offroad driving yet!

Amazing scenery, again really unlike anything else I've seen in Australia. And again, chucked a line in but didn't catch anything. At least a croc didn't catch us. Found a sweet spot for the yabbie pots on the way back in a creek just up the road from the campsite then headed back for a swim and a beer. El Questro is a bit over the top for us, a full serivce wilderness experience (for a price) with heli-fishing, horse riding, extortionate boat hire, etc. At the same time, they've got a great location and have put in quite decent tracks to various attractions. You can see where a lot of the money goes and you could spend several days here exploring.
