Awesome surf this morning. Solid 3-4 foot waves breaking left and right in front of the rivermouth (sand and river stone bottom). Got out there at 0630 and heaps of guys quickly joined but the eventual crowd of 25-30 were all pretty friendly. The waves were a bit peaky too so easy to snag a few for yourself. Good fun but not that much different to a good beachbreak in NSW. You wouldn't come all the way to Indo for this (especially as it goes side/onshore by about 10am and is blown out by 11am).
Still, it's a great place to hang and way more chilled than Kuta or the Bukit. Great brekky spot looking straight out to the waves (check the pics). You can stay right here and walk 50m to the beach then do yoga in the afternoons. Would be great for a couple. We moved house just up the road to cheaper and more comfortable lodgings then went for a huge walk around the village and through all the farms, etc.
