The expat life isn't too bad in KL either. Jack and I had a swim in the 17m pool before breakfast with Nick, Jack's friend with whom we were staying. Nick and his wife Soraya (both very clever people) have recently launched Boost Juice in Malaysia and it's been really interesting hearing all about their implementing a start up business.
We cruised into town to check out the shop at KLCC (the swankiest mall in town) and to have a look at the Petronas Twin Towers. Jumped on the train after lunch for a look around Chinatown and a bit of shopping at the markets. Got caught in a heavy downpour which we waited out in a doorway for about half an hour (and watched the canal rise about 1m in water level). It's great to have time in your life to spend 30 minutes just waiting for the rain!
