More admin/shopping and a surf! Darwin has a wavepool at the newly developed waterfront area. We sucked up our pride and grabbed a bodyboard each to "surf" some of the 1.5 sloppy waves that pump out for 20 minutes on, 10 minutes off. Was actually more fun than we expected and you could even go across a face and jam a boogie-version of a cutback. Sort of. I wouldn't ditch Sydney for the Darwin wave pool but it was nice to be in a moving swell of sorts. Made us realise how much we missed surfing in just a few days and wonder how we'd cope for the next 3.5 weeks to Exmouth.
Had Peta over for a barbie at the caravan park and it absolutely hammered down rain for about an hour. Hope this doesn't continue once we're back in the bush. Great dinner though, pork sausages and massive $20/kg king prawns, we don't eat this well every night!
